Welcome to the Waltham Forest Connexions Website

Connexions provides information, advice, guidance and personal development opportunities to all 13-19 year olds in England. Connexions gives ongoing support for young people with a learning or other disability up to the age of 25.

Help in Waltham ForestConnexions personal advisers (PA’s) are based in schools, colleges, voluntary organisations and other agencies as well as Connexions own ‘one-stop’ shop at 398A Hoe Street, Walthamstow and the new multi-agency centre, Harrow Green, Leyton. PA’s give confidential information, advice and practical help with all sorts of things, like choosing courses, mapping out future career options, money and benefits (like help with education maintenance allowance or care to learn), health, relationships and using spare time in a sociable, positive way. In fact they can and do help with anything that may be affecting young people at school, college, work or in their personal and family life. Connexions Personal Advisers (PA’s) are highly qualified, highly trained and highly skilled professionals working to the highest standards and safeguards.Young people can also access a free help-line, e-mail and webchat services 7 days a week through Connexions Direct. www.connexions-direct.com.Connexions plays a key role in increasing the number of young people in education, employment and training and is exceeding government set targets.Connexions encourages young people to get involved in the running of its services and has a vibrant young people’s partnership board that help with the day-to day things like interviewing new staff and deciding how marketing materials should look.
